On September 25th, Hurricane Ian was projected to slam into Tallahassee; however, over the next few days, Ian decided to take a right turn and decimate our neighbors to the south in the Fort Myers area. According to ABC News business reporter Alexis Christoforous, the damage from Ian will cost Florida approximately $258 billion. Couple that with the power outages, contaminated water, and loss of life of our fellow Floridians; the increased risk exposure by ignoring ESG has now cost taxpayers billions of dollars and destroyed countless lives and livelihoods.
